"A poem for my sister"

By: angela gatch
Even though we are miles apart  A
It's like your still here next to me. B
Because i keep you in my heart.  A
When you feel down look for me in your dream C
We have been there for each other our whole lives. D
No one can ever take your place. E
Your shoulder is what i have used for my cries. D
You have made me laugh when i had a frown on my face. E
We are sisters and friends. F
I love you my sister till the end. F
I could not imagine my life without you G
You are my rock. H
I can't wait to see you when you come home all new  G
I hope you never have to leave us again. I
Just always remember i love you my sister. J
And i will be here till the end. K
So look for me in your dreams. A
When you need a friend K
Or you just want to scream. A

The author misses her sister. The author is trying to say that nothing is the same without her/his sister. Even though they don't see each other, they still care and love each other as if they where right next to each other.

"Truly a Friend"

By: Karl and Joanna Fuchs
Someone to lean on when problems appear,Someone on whom you’d depend, A
Someone who’ll lift you when you’re down in the dumps, B
That someone is truly a friend. A

That’s how I feel about you my dear friend; A
You’re so special just as you are. C
Just to know that you’re there provides comfort to spare; D
A friendship like yours sets the bar. C
The authors are  talking about how she/he feels about his/her friend. The authors are also talking about how her/his friend is always there to support her/him. I think the authors wrote this poem in a moment in which they were both very inspired.
